Shiatsu is a therapeutic massage originating in Japan and based on Chinese Traditional Medicine.
This hands-on therapy treats the individual as a whole and takes the form of precise and measured pressure on the energy channels known as meridians that are linked to the body’s organs.
The treatment comprises a variety of techniques including joint manipulation, stretching, massage and kneading. The aim is to maintain or regain a good physical and mental balance and achieve a general state of well-being.
A profound sense of relaxation and feelings of vitality, lightness, calmness, clarity and natural energy are experienced both during and after treatment.
After several sessions, the practice of this therapy brings about changes in the energy system, life style and general behaviour. This enables you to improve your health and quality of life in a lasting and responsible manner.
Shiatsu is accessible to everyone. It has numerous applications and is particularly indicated in the treatment of the following:
- chronic and acute pain
- muscular and joint pain
- tension in the shoulders, neck and head
- back and lower back pain
- stress, nervous tension
- tiredness, exhaustion
- migraines, dizziness
- insomnia, depression, burn-out, distress

A session lasts for about an hour. You wear comfortable clothes and lie on a futon placed on the floor.
The number and frequency of sessions is determined by the healing process in each individual case.
